casts - Mark Hamill. Alright so were gonna bring back Palpatine, then what? Kill him FoR rEaL tHiS tImE? 🐔. Honestly, this is stupid. This should have been a shocking moment to the characters in universe but no, they just start the film accepting hes alive. Honestly think Id prefer Last Jedi over this.

Hopefully, it will justify as a series... wow, glad it did. JJ, the cast and beyond did a fantastic job with the final instalment of the 42-year Star Wars saga in Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. Early opening scenes of Leia training Rey on Ajan Kloss bare a strong resemblance to the backdrop or LucasArts' Knights of the Old Republic and BioWare's The Old Republic games. The characterisation was embodied at maximum throughout, with passion and conviction in every actor's performance. Introduction to new world settings was plentiful and cinematography at a high standard. Fisher's role, following her untimely death, brings an essential and emotional development to the plot. McDiarmid's reprisal adds a greater depth to the underlying backstory, with no shortage of surprising reveals and an unexpected homage paid to the expanded universe material. Themes are abundant yet none overshadowing another, entwined with a careful balance of light and dark; love and family ultimately being at the heart of the story. Episode IX pays numerous tributes to previous Star Wars movies, notably drawing inspiration from sequences such as the Tatooine Podrace and the Battle of Mustafar. Old allies such as Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, Luminara Unduli and other Jedi make a cameo with their voiceovers, aiding the last Jedi in her stand against the Emperor. A slight disappointment being that no physical appearances were delivered to say a definitive goodbye to some integral pieces of the Star Wars puzzle, such as Obi-Wan or Anakin - though understandable when considering the climax of Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and the avoidance of history repeating itself.
One issue I have is the concept of the secretive planet Exogal - seemingly unnecessary given that Moraband (formerly Korriban) was already long established as the ancient home world of the Sith, canonised in the animated series Clone Wars and perhaps a more logical choice to include on the big screen as Palpatine's hideout. That said, the introduction of a new and elusive dark side planet certainly drives a layer of fear and edge into the narrative. Williams returns to "A Galaxy Far, Far Away" one last time to score the final chapter of the saga, and does not disappoint with his nostalgic revival of iconic themes from both the original and prequel trilogies.
While fan and critic responses have been generally negative, The Rise of Skywalker is an exceptional piece of story-telling with careful execution in all areas of the finished motion picture, and a satisfactory curtain call to my favourite entertainment franchise of all time.

I remember being in that massive arena for this. Everytime I watch reactions or this trailer I start sobbing. The emotions still run high even from two months ago! I will never forget this moment. It was simply amazing. Woah. That was sick! I can't wait to see this. -I AM ALL THE SITH. AND I AM IRON MAN! snaps the emperor out of existence.
Watching the movie in the theatre Rey: rEy sKyWaLkEr Some random guy in the back of the theatre: NOOooOOOOOOooOOOOOOOooo. OH GOD OHHH IM CONSOOOOOOOOMING. I get why people were a bit hesitant to see the film 6-7 months ago. I was too. But it's a good film, and fun. Also a decent Star Wars movie, that, if you're keen on lore, might actually work well with how tall tales work (let's say that whatever you knew about Han Solo in the past could just be him or someone else embellishing his origin story, like how rogues are wont to do. Aside from the actors trying just a bit too hard to exhibit mannerisms of Harrison Ford and Billy Dee Williams (comes across as quirky) and the soundtrack being over enthusiastically edited (too many track switching in action scenes, too many homages to John Williams's leitmotifs) I liked it. There's some trivia worth noting (spoilers. the Maw is several black holes (a bunch) not one gravity well - the Falcon always had two computers or droid brains haphazardly co-running the rest of the ship, so this was a nice origin story for that (AFAIK the previous continuities didn't really explain how it got two brains. Han Solo is destined to win the Falcon from Lando, lol - Black Sun crime syndicate is the most fearsome during this time period. Darth Maul isn't actually Dathomiri, and doesn't need to be in this, nor do pre-Rebels. Hutt cartels also run Kessel.

Favorite episode is 5 and the mandolian is great I love baby yoda. The saga comes to an end yeah I can see that. Final battle epicness. I don't have the narrow mind of a Jedi, I accept all the Star Wars films to their fullest. Only one who accepts both aspects, the light and the dark will become one with the force. 🤓. Rey is Palpatine's and Yoda's love child. Ive been waiting a literal day for this. Plot twist: Palpatine is also a Skywalker. I LOVE U ALL <3.

It was a good movie. I cant see them making a sequel though. They could have turned this one into multiple parts if they had wanted too since they left out so much(arachnophobes would have been thrilled. as is normal, I suppose, when it comes to making films from the original materials. I was looking forward to this, and am glad that I finally got to watch it. Ian Mcdiarmid looks SO FREAKING HAPPY to be working in Star Wars again, i'm so happy for him ❤❤❤❤❤.
When does trailer 3 come out I hope it comes out today not sure because people are saying the 21ST but idk. I want one of those X wings bad, would be awesome to make into a drone and fly it! Seeing the movie this weekend, can't wait. All according to cake. Sidious.
