The neck breaking sound that terrified us all in the original is used in every turn here for no reason when there is not reason for it being used since the ghosts used in this movie did not die as the famous mother and son of the original!
Then there is the ghosts and the jump-scares! OMG were they bad! I wasn't scared once, ghosts look like your typical ghosts in all Cheesy American horror movies, jump-scares are very basic and obvious that you won't even be scared of it.
This is not the grudge and this is not horror, the audience in my theatre laughed once or twice during the movie a the ghosts appearance and how boring they were.
